Our Story

I began collecting crystals as a child, fascinated by their beauty and the natural wonder of gemstones. That early curiosity grew into a lifelong passion and eventually led me to study at the Gemological Institute of America (GIA), where I became a Graduate Gemologist and deepened my understanding of both the science and artistry behind fine jewelry.

As a first-generation jeweler, I built my career through education and hands-on experience in the appraisal field, becoming a member of the National Association of Jewelry Appraisers and working professionally as a jewelry appraiser. Over the years I evaluated countless pieces and heard the stories behind them—engagements, anniversaries, birthdays, and life’s most meaningful moments.

Those experiences revealed something powerful: jewelry is never just about the object itself. It represents emotion, memory, and the moment it was given.

I realized I didn’t want to simply sell jewelry. I wanted to create a moment of giving—something unforgettable.

During a period of deep meditation and creative reflection, the concept for GemStem came to me: a jewelry presentation box designed to nestle directly inside a bouquet of roses, transforming a traditional floral gift into a timeless jewelry experience.

For generations, roses and diamond jewelry have always shared the same moment—flowers in one hand, a jewelry box in the other. They have always been part of the same story, but they had never truly been connected.

GemStem is that connection.
